What's this? Hear me postulate, with factual backing, the state of Mamoru's crib aka bachelor pad aka one-extended-bedroom-for-making-hot love!!!!!!---- but I digress.... No really, the best name to call it, it seems, is Graceland.

Mamoru lives in a high-rise apartment building.

The entrance leads to a short step in which you take off your shoes and put on slippers. This is customary in traditional asian households. Wearing shoes indoors, from the Eastern point of view is unsanitary because shoes bring in all sorts of dirt and disease... You will notice that in full length images of the Sailors indoors, that the characters are either shoeless, or wearing slippers.

By the front door there's a small cabinet for shoes and a coat rack. On top of the cabinet is a vase of red roses. This is visible from the episode where Usagi goes with Chibi-usa to Mamoru's apartment because she wants to talk with him, after the infamous breakup.

Mamoru has a kitchen which is behind a counter facing the living room. This is where Usagi made her 'curry' (Sailormoon R). This is the only time the kitchen ever appears. He probably has a fold away table or a small one that he takes out and places sitting mats next to for dining.

Inside the living room there is a big screen TV where Zoicite makes an appearance. There is a couch and green rug arranged around the TV.

He has a answering machine (season 1: Rei leaves a message) and a yellow cordless phone. These are both in a room attached to a balcony. The balcony has a glass slide door and is covered by purple curtains which blow in the constant night breeze. During Mamoru's nightmares you can see the moon shining in the background. I think he sleeps with his windows open.

We assume there is a bathroom somewhere in his apartment, most likely connected to his bedroom to form a master bedroom. I don't remember seeing the bathroom but I do remember Mamoru, presumably, stepping out from the bathroom towel-drying his hair.

In the basement of the complex he has a large parking space for both his red sports car and motorcycle. (We see Mamoru's sports car in the episode Ami goes to the airport to leave for school.) What's interesting with the motorcycle is that in the episode that its used we see Mamoru go down into his basement garage to get on his bike (Sailormoon R). Watch the episode, and get yourself a look.

Oh, and if you want to see more of his place, look for episodes early on in the Sailormoon R storyline after Chibi-usa appears. She often goes to Mamoru's apartment to hang out. Apartment sightings are not limited to the anime. Usagi and the readers often venture inside in the Manga. (I'll get some specific numbers next time I go to the library.)

That's all for today's tour... (uh huh huh huh...).

This is all very "punny" and all but... I guess we have to say: Images of Graceland, Memphis, Tennesse "Home of the King" (c) Elvis Presley Enterprises.
